A delegation from Sudan visited the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore. The delegation was consisting of H.E Mr. Salih Mohamed Ahmed Mohammad Siddiq Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan and Council Mr. Amjad Haider. Sudan seeks progressive, productive, and long-term concrete liaison with Pakistan in every sector. The consulate will facilitate to development of linkages between UET and Sudani Universities for the collaborative research and exchange of faculty and students. It was expressed by Ambassador Siddig during the meeting with worthy Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat on his visit to UET.

Further, Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat said that UET desires to increase the number of foreign students whereas several hundred students from different countries are already studying in UET Lahore. This would help in better mutual understanding of people and cultures in various parts of the world in a highly connected yet diverse world. At the end, the Vice Chancellor presented a souvenir to the Ambassador in the presence of the Director of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, the Convener of the Admission Committee Dr. Asim Loan, and the Focal Person Dr. Amna.
