The Department of Chemistry at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, hosted a vibrant event known as Chemfest 2.0/Food Gala. This event showcased a fusion of chemistry and culinary arts, with students from the M. Phil Food Science and Technology program presenting their food products, while students from the BS and M. Phil Chemistry programs showcased chemistry-related products at their respective stalls.

Adding to the excitement, esteemed brands such as Suleman Sweets and ODR Foods participated in the event, with their CEOs in attendance to engage with participants and visitors. The festival commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by the presence of Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Islamic Studies Prof. Dr. Shahid Rafique, and Chairman Chemistry Department Dr. Humayun Ajaz. Their presence added a significant aura to the event.

Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a plethora of activities and displays, with prizes awarded to the creators of the best products. Following the prize distribution, the atmosphere was further enlivened by musical and cultural performances presented by various university societies, enhancing the overall experience for participants and guests alike.

As the festivities drew to a close, the Chairman extended his gratitude to the Ibn-e- Hayan Chemical Society and Dr. Arjumand Iqbal Durrani for their efforts in orchestrating a successful event, acknowledging their contributions to its overall success. Chemfest 2.0/Food Gala not only provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and innovations but also fostered collaboration between academia and industry, contributing to the enrichment of the academic experience at UET Lahore.
