Let’s introduce our distinguished guests first. One of our worthy guests, Ms. Aqsa Shamim, is an Assistant Professor at The University of Lahore. Ms. Maryam Iqbal is a Biochemist and Ms. Rabia Karim is AD Sports. It was a multidisciplinary drive to cope with the mental stress among students.

Physical activities are not only good for your body but are also great for your mind. Being active releases chemicals in our body that make us feel good; boost our self-esteem and help us concentrate as well as sleep well and feel better. In this regard, a seminar was held at the Department of Management Sciences UET (New Campus) on 07-12-2023.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Ms. Rabia Karim, AD sports highlighted the importance of physical activities in her speech. In today’s fast-paced world, taking care of our physical health is more crucial than ever. In this seminar, we learned about the impact of physical health on overall well-being, productivity, and quality of life. Our expert speaker Ms. Rabia Karim shared valuable insights, practical tips, and evidence-based strategies to help us prioritize our physical health and make positive lifestyle changes. Ms. Rabia Karim also engaged us in her speech, and we performed various physical activities with her on the ground.

Our other honorable guest Ms. Maryam Iqbal, she’s a biochemist; guided the students about the proper foodstuff that a person should consume to live a healthy life. Ms. Maryam talked with us about the importance of proper nutrition and making healthy food choices. As young individuals, it’s essential to fuel our bodies with the right foodstuff to support our growth, development, and overall well-being. Ms. Maryam also made the students participate in the session and asked the students about their diet. Our next topic under discussion was the mental health of students with Ms. Aqsa Shamim, she’s an Assistant Professor at The University of Lahore; she made the students learn about how to control mental stress issues.

Mental health is just as important as physical health and it’s essential to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and seek help when needed. This was the end of our session.
