APPLICATION CATEGORIES AND SYMBOLS
The seats for the bachelor’s degree courses are distributed over different categories. For brevity, these categories are assigned alphabets. The detail of the categories, their symbols, their fee status is given as under:

Subsidized. |
The candidate should be a bonafide resident of the Sindh province. Diploma holders are also eligible to apply. |

As per Government regulations. |
The candidate should be a bonafide resident of the Baluchistan province. Diploma holders are also eligible to apply. |
D |
Subsidized. |
The candidate should be a bonafide resident of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province. Diploma holders may also apply. |
E |
Subsidized. |
The candidate should be national of Azad Kashmir. |
E |
Subsidized. |
The candidate should be national of Lipa Valley, Azad Kashmir. |

Subsidized. |
The candidate should be bonafide resident of Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan). |
H1 |
Subsidized. |
The candidates having foreign nationality can apply under ‘H’ Category. The applicant is required to get his application sponsored by his own government. Diploma holders may also apply. |

Partially subsidized. |
The candidates should be Afghan nationals. The applicant is required to get his application sponsored by his government. |

Partially subsidized. |
Nominations by COMSTECH from least developed countries of OIC. Seats in Cvil (1), Mining (1), Mechanical (1). |
H3 |
Partially subsidized. |
The candidates from Indian Held Kashmir can also apply under this Category. |
H4 |
Subsidized. |
The candidates having foreign nationality can apply under ‘H’ Category. The applicant is required to get his application sponsored by his own government. Diploma holders may also apply. |

Punjab domiciled candidates, having passed DAE in relevant field, can apply for reserved seats under ‘I’ category. |

Partially Subsidized. |
The children of officers/ officials belonging to Army, Air Force or Navy can apply under this category. Diploma holders are also eligible to apply. |

Subsidized. |
The applicant should be a bonafide resident of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Diploma holders are also eligible to apply. |
L |
Subsidized. |
The applicant should be a bonafide resident of any of the following districts: Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Jhang, Attock, Chakwal, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan and Jhelum. |
M |
As per University rules. |
The un-married children of employees of UET Lahore can apply under this category. Diploma holders are also eligible to apply. However, in order to determine relevant merit, Diploma holders will be placed below applicants possessing Intermediate. (Pre-Engineering). |
N |
Partially Subsidized. |
The Punjab domiciled children of Engineers, Architects and Town Planners can apply under this category. Diploma holders cannot apply. |
O |
Partially Subsidized. |
The Punjab domiciled children of Alumni of UET Lahore can apply under this category. Diploma holders cannot apply. |
P |
Subsidized. |
The applicant should be a bonafide resident of Punjab and should have passed B.Sc. Engineering Technology or equivalent degree from a HEC recognized university of Pakistan. |
Q |
Subsidized. |
The applicant should be a bonafide resident of the Tribal Areas of D.G. Khan and Rajanpur. Diploma holders are not eligible to apply. |
R |
Subsidized. |
The applicant should be a bonafide resident of Layyah and Bhakkar districts. |

Non-Subsidized. Not eligible for financial support. |

- THE FEE SCHEDULE WILL BE ANNOUNCED EACH YEAR AT THE TIME OF SOLICITING ADMISSION APPLICATIONS IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS.

- Through an amendment in the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 by Finance Act 2013, advance tax (under section 236 I) shall be collected @ 5% on the entire amount of fee (if Student's Payable fee exceeds from Rs. 200,000/- per annum excluding the amount refundable).
- Advance tax paid on fee is adjustable اagainst the tax liability of the parent or guardian making payment of the fee. UET will issue Advance Tax Certificate in this regard at year-end.
- Advance tax shall not be collected from a person who is a non-resident and, -
- Furnishes copy of passport as an evidence to the educational institution that during previous tax year, his stay in Pakistan was less than one hundred eighty-three days;
- Furnishes a certificate that he has no Pakistan-source income; and
- The fee is remitted directly from abroad through normal banking channels to the bank account of the educational institution.
- 5% advance tax is deducted in every spring semester. Students eligible for the waiver of this tax may contact Dues Section before the due date of spring semester fee.
- All students are responsible to keep in record the copies of paid challans throughout their academic tenure.
