The research focused on the wide area wireless multi-modal sensor networks for geo-sensing applications. The ultimate objective of this research effort was an effective use of multiple sensor modalities, for real time detection, classification and tracking of dynamic phenomenon, including natural as well as artificial events. This research led to better understanding of dynamic events providing higher spatio-temporal resolution and in future will enable us for timely counter measures depending on the catastrophic nature of the activity. A multi-sensor multi-modal platform was developed deployed for human activity monitoring. Preliminary results were published in two conference papers.
