Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Rai Taimoor Khan said that E-Rozgar scheme has produced thousands of young entrepreneurs who have earned billions of rupees through online projects. He was addressing the launching ceremony of E-Rozgar at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore.
Rai Tamioor Khan said, “there is a number of young people in Pakistan who have the potential to bring Pakistan in developed countries. Our future is in the hands of youth who is hardworking, intelligent and talented.” He also said, “the government has started various programs for the development of youth to empower them. Students with IT knowledge are not only contributing to the development of the country, but they are also financially supporting their own families, this is the only way to make a move towards the development and change of the country. The government is responsible for providing the environment suitable for investment and in this regard, the Punjab government is taking special measures.”
Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, faculty members and a large number of students were also present at this occasion. Provincial Minister further said that eradication of unemployment is one of the top priorities of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government has already launched a plan in which this vision of Prime Minister is reached to completed. He urged the youth to become an entrepreneur as they could easily earn more than one hundred thousand rupees per month through E-Rozgar.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid said, there should be more employment programme likely to e-rozgar in the country. Due to E-rozgar the culture entrepreneurship has been promoted and students have got business and job opportunities. At the end of the ceremony, Vice-chancellor presented souvenir to the honourable guest.
