The Office of FA&CS UET Lahore inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lotte Kolson. In this connection a scholarship distribution ceremony was organized to award scholarships to students. Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Kwak Sung-Kyu participated in the ceremony as chief guest. However, Lotte Kolson awarded 10 scholarships to best students of UET. Under this agreement the students of 3 rd year will be offered internship opportunities and the students of 4 th year will be given jobs by Lotte International. While addressing to the students Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Kwak Sung-Kyu said, “Pakistan and Korea have long-term relations, which are improving with the passage of time. The scholarship of the two countries will further strengthen the friendship between both countries. I hope that students selected for scholarships will pay their full support in the development of Pakistan.”
Director FA&CS Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz said, “UET have more than Five Thousand different scholarships for its students, which facilitate every student according to set criteria. The scholarships from Lotte International has significant important for university. It is considered as UET has international reputation and recognition.”
He further said, “We hope the number of scholarships in the near future will be increased and job opportunities for students will be provided.” Prof. Dr. Tahir Izhar, Staff of Korean Embassy, CEO Lotte International, and Senior officials also attended the event. At the end of event Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shabaz presented souvenir to honorable guest.
