Tree Plantation Drive begins in UET Lahore

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore started tree plantation drive in its main and constituent campuses. More than 4000 plants have been planted in UET Kala Shah Kaku (KSK) Campus. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid inaugurated the campaign he said that during the recent months, the UET had successfully planted 1000 trees in its main Campus on the occasion of Pakistan Independence day and 1500 in UET KSK campus whereas 1000 trees in Faisalabad Campus. About 15,000 trees are scheduled to plant in KSK Campus.

Vice-Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, "Plantation should not be taken as a tradition but it should be considered as national and moral obligations". He emphasized to promote the forestation in keeping the environment clean and pleasant. He urged faculty members and students to ensure conservation of each tree they plant.
