International Students Explore Pakistan’s Industrial and Natural Heritage Through Educational Tour
With the kind support of the Vice Chancellor, UET, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Dr. Amna Niazi, Coordinator for International Students, organized a memorable educational tour for international students to the Khewra Salt Mines and ICI Pakistan. Known as one of the oldest and largest salt mines in the world, the Khewra Mines offered students a unique glimpse into Pakistan’s rich natural heritage and mining history.
The visit continued with a tour of ICI Pakistan, where students gained insights into industrial operations and were warmly hosted for lunch. We are especially grateful to Mr. Hamza, Senior Manager at ICI Pakistan, for his generous hospitality, and to Mr. Malik Naeem, Project Manager at Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), for his continuous support in making this visit possible.
The Dean of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Naveed Ramzan, and Director of Students Affairs, Dr. Zulfiqar, also accompanied the group, making the experience even more engaging and informative. We extend our heartfelt thanks once again to Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir for facilitating this enriching educational opportunity.
