The Higher Education Commission (HEC), through the Pakistan University Sports Board (PUSB), has commended the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore for the successful conduct of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) – Talent Hunt Youth Sports League (Men’s Hockey).

In an official letter, HEC appreciated UET Lahore for hosting the event at an international standard, which also featured participation from hockey clubs of the Netherlands and Germany. The recognition highlights the university’s commitment to promoting sports and youth engagement at both national and international levels.

The letter particularly acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the Directorate of Sports and Mr. Muhammad Tanveer, Director Physical Education, whose professionalism and commitment significantly contributed to the successful execution of the event.

Following the successful completion of Phase-I, HEC has proposed the initiation of Phase-II of the project and has requested UET Lahore to share expert feedback and recommendations for further improvement and effective implementation.

The administration of UET Lahore welcomed this recognition and termed it a reflection of the collective efforts of its team. The university reaffirmed its commitment to continue playing an active role in promoting sports, youth development, and healthy co-curricular engagement.
