The Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, New Campus, hosted the much-anticipated EFx 2025 event under the auspices of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, who delivered an inspiring address to the gathering of students, faculty members, and industry representatives.

In his keynote speech, Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized the crucial need for students to develop critical thinking, strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and effective teamwork and leadership skills to excel in the modern world. Drawing from his personal journey, he shared how his professional experiences in the industry significantly enhanced his problem-solving capabilities, offering students a real-world perspective on the importance of applied knowledge.

Dr. Munir also urged engineering graduates to actively embrace the challenges brought about by the rapid pace of technological advancements. He stressed that future engineers must not only adapt to evolving technologies but also lead innovation to drive societal progress.
