Dr. Khalid Mahmood (Assistant Professor) ( Assistant Professor )

Dr. Khalid Mahmood did his BSc in Chemical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore Pakistan. Then he went to South Korea for Masters in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) under KAIST scholarship. During his Masters, he produced the sub-micron sized wax particles using a novel T-junction microfludic device for their applications in Toner. 

Dr. Khalid was also awarded with the KAIST scholarship to complete his PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. He developed the electrospraying technique for the fabrication of semiconducting thin films and got success to complete his PhD just in two years by publishing his results in renewed scientific journals. This work also earned four Korean patents for him. During his post-doctoral fellowship from KAIST, he worked on the development of efficient dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). After a year, he moved to King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia as a post-doctoral fellow. Where he worked on the development of solid-state perovskite solar cells based on the low-temperature and fully solution-processed electron transporting layers and got published his research in the high impact factor journals such as Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Energy & Environmental Sciences, Nanoscale and Journal of Materials Chemistry A.
