An orientation Seminar on “Ottoman History, New Turkey and Turkish Language” arranged by department of Humanities under Chairperson Alia Saleem Naushahi in collaboration with Quality Enhancement Cell of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore was held at Chemical Engineering Seminar Hall of main campus. Chairman Rumi Fourm Pakistan Mesut Kacmaz was resource person of the event.
Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid was also present in the seminar. At this moment Mesut Kacmaz Chairman Rumi Forum Pakistan while addressing to audience said that Pakistan is second home for Turkish people. So the selections between both countries must be enhanced in all mutual areas of interest. In this regards cultural exchange and other related sector must be explained to build exemplary linkages.
He informed the focused about history of Ottoman, trends of modern technology in latest Turkey and also to learn Turkish language to understand the culture extensively. Mesut added that in more than hundred countries of the world Turkish language is being taught by different institutes as a foreign language.
Meanwhile Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said that Turkey is enriched with culture and history and Pakistan has deep routed relations with it. In modern era, new Turkey should be taken as role model for progress in Islamic World. In this connection Government of Punjab is teaching many measures to work jointly in different sectors. UET is seeking collaboration with Turkish technical Universities in science and technology. He also said it is pleasant move to take interest in teaching Turkish Language to build strong community to community ties. At the end, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented crest to Mesut Kacmaz.
