A 3day workshop on Teaching Methodologies for Young Faculty organised by Quality Enhancement Cell of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore started at Campus. The core aim of this activity to provide the skills to young teachers regarding effective pedagogical approach for getting prominent place in market by producing productive mentors. In inaugural session, Prof Dr. Masood Ahmad Zaidi famous speaker said that effective strategies must be adopted while transferring knowledge to gain proper achievements. In this regards, all sort of communication gaps must be filled by generating inspirational wave among the students.
He emphasised that the thought provoking ideas must be sensitized to provide the adequate space for exploring hidden qualities. Prof. Zaidi added more that need to urge the students to know more and give new dimensions of observation. This will definitely increase the level of learning and expanding the innovation skills for attaining uniqueness. He spoke that teachers must address the queries of students and pay full attention to the change in behaviours and attitudes in learners. Meanwhile Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said that the students are the big asset for any country, so this must be treated wisely. He urged the young teachers to demonstrate themselves as origin of knowledge by practicing modern techniques to follow international standards. He focused on Outcome Based Education that is the only way to bring educational and technological revolution by achieving concrete results. VC advised the young faculty to train the youth on critical and analytical grounds to observe any phenomena deeply. This will create an opportunity to explain the things in multiple directions with scientific methods. He gave a detailed presentation to the attendees about different standards set by authentic worldwide research based organisations. In workshop, Director QEC Prof. Dr. Ghulam Abbas Anjum informed the audience about the objectives and targets of the event. Along with this many from different departments joined the first session of the workshop.
