UET celebrates Pakistan status of “International Professional Engineering”

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized a ceremony to celebrate the success of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) on attaining “International Professional Engineer” (IPE) status. With “International Professional Engineer” status Pakistani engineers will be equal to any other professional engineers in the world market. The purpose of this celebration was to acknowledge and appreciate efforts of team PEC on attaining “International Professional Engineer”. Chairman PEC Engr. Dr. Jawed Salim Qureshi was the Chief Guest of ceremony. Deans of all faculties, Chairpersons of all teaching departments, Heads of Non-Teaching Departments and coordinators of all campuses accompanied by Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid were also present at this occasion. Addressing to the participants, Engr. Dr. Jawed Salim Qureshi viewed that “International Professional Engineer” status is a matter of prestige and honor, not only for people from engineering disciplines but for whole Pakistan as well. Pakistan is among 19 countries having this honor. In his address Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Ahmad Khalid appreciated the efforts of PEC for achieving this milestone. He further said that it put lot of responsibility on us to work hard and maintain the standards of quality education. Other staff members of UET Lahore also paid their tribute to PEC chairman and members for their untiring efforts.
