Minister HED inaugurates School of Media Studies, UET Lahore

Minister Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) Syed Raza Ali Gillani inaugurated the School of Media Studies (SMS) University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore. Vice Chancellor UET Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Director Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS) UET Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood, students and faculty members attended the inauguration ceremony. The ceremony also witnessed an exhibition of stunning photographs organized by SMS, UET Lahore. Various themes and subjects were displayed through photographs by the first batch students of photo journalism. Minister Punjab HED Syed Ali Raza Gillani said, “I am very pleased to witness the technology and vision that UET is introduced and it is a pleasure to say that our students can compete internationally any time for that matter.” “If an Engineering and Technology university is offering such subjects and such disciplines in their university, all the universities should provide this facility to their students. It is need of the hour.” 

He added. Talking to the Participants of ceremony V.C. UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “We provide best teachers, fully equipped labs having latest technology and opportunities to our students so that they may use their abilities in better way. I believe this will help to advance the vision of SMS.” “UET has always played a significant role in introducing technology and now it is driving towards exploring social sciences. In this regard Institute of Business and Management (IB&M) is working successfully” he added. The ceremony concluded with shields and certificate distribution. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented the shields to the guests and students of photo journalism.
