UET Lahore in collaboration with PFA organizes an awareness Seminar on Casting Simulation Technology

University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan Foundry Association (PFA) conducted an awareness seminar on Casting Simulation Technology. The seminar was presided by worthy Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid. CEO Millat Group/President AFP Mr. Sikandar Mustafa was the chief guest. The purpose of this seminar was to create awareness amongst the foundry operators about the importance of Casting Simulation Technology to solve their casting problems. In this seminar it was discussed that conventional time consuming foundry troubleshooting can be replaced with Casting Simulation Technology and how this technology can save time & money, reduce rejections/defects, and improve production. It was also described that Qadri Group is already using a Casting Simulation Software Magma and they presented their own examples of foundry troubleshooting using Magma. 

The Foundry Service Centre (FSC) of UET Lahore has also acquired Casting Simulation software ‘Nova’. It was decided in the seminar that the Foundry Engineers/Specialists would be trained in Casting Simulation Software ‘Nova’ at FSC, UET Lahore. After training, they would be given access to use the ‘Nova’ facility at FSC UET Lahore to solve their casting problems. Director Operations Qadbros/General Secretary PFA Mr. Asim Qadri, CEO Ravi Spherocast Mr. Iqbal Khalid, CEO MECAS Engineering Mr. Waseem Khalid, CEO Matchless Engineering Mr. Irfan Ahmed, GM HMC Taxila Mr. Abdul Muniam and many others from KSB pumps, Infinity School of Engineering, Atlas Engineering, Bolan Casting, Chenab Engineering, Excel Engineering, Golden Pumps, HiTech Foundries, Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works, Grand Engineering, Paras Engineering, Zaid Products and Pakistan Railways participated in this seminar.
