IEEE-UET Student Branch was founded in 1982, and even though it was defunct for quite a while, its revival seemingly breathed a new soul into the society, and it has been very active ever since. It was the first Student Branch to be established in Pakistan, so it had a lot to accomplish. Since its inception, IEEE-UET has been striving to implement the goals of IEEE in the cultural and social context of Pakistan, i.e., keeping students up-to-date with new researches and technologies, helping them with acquisition of professional knowledge, promoting inter-gender harmony and tolerance. |

Since its establishment on the 1ST July 2008, UET-ACM student chapter has been working hard to advance the science and art of the information processing and develop the student professionally, polishing their technical and administrative skills. The chapter provides a platform to its members to learn those technological trends that are not taught in the academics and to get involved in the management of the Association. The chapter has a distinction of being one of the well known societies in the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. |
