Min Duration

• 4 academic years for Engineering, CS and CRP.

• 5 academic years for Building & Architecture Engineering (up to Session 2007) and Architecture

Max Duration

• 6 years for Engineering, CS and CRP

• 7 years for Building & Architecture Engineering (up to Session 2007) and Architecture

One Credit Hour

• 60 minutes (often called a "contact hour") of instruction in the class for a particular subject, per week, for the duration of the semester.

• Three contact hours per week for laboratory sessions or independent work, for the duration of the semester.

Academic Year

• Fall/Spring Semester: 16 weeks of Teaching plus Mid Term week and Final Examination weeks.

• Summer Semester: A short semester containing:

  • 8 weeks of Teaching

  • 1 week for Mid Term

  • 1 week for Final Examination

Fall and Spring Semester Load:

(15 + 4 X 3) = 27 Hours Contact per week

For one subject of 3 CH
3 X 16=48 (Contact) Hours of Teaching Over the Semester

Summer Semester Load:

Doubling contact period during the week.

For one subject of 3 CH
3 (X 2) X 8=48 (Contact) Hours of Teaching Over the Semester

A maximum of three (3) Part I of subjects
